Volunteer Opportunities

Welcome to The Path of Citrus County! Thanks so much for your interest in volunteering. It's our pleasure to share with you the many opportunities we offer, and how to get started if you choose to volunteer. The Path rescue mission provides shelter, clothing, food and individualized case management for displaced or homeless men, women and children. The Path teaches Biblical principles and life skills to improve quality of life and self sufficiency.

VOLUNTEERS fulfill our mission statement by helping our clients reconnect with society. By showing our clients love, acceptance, and service, volunteers encourage our clients and help them feel valued. Just by showing up, you are communicating to our clients that they are worth your time!

While every volunteer has unique motivations, we ask that when you come to The Path you focus on this overall goal: to encourage those around you. This should be reflected in your attitude, your actions, your words, and how you interact with others. Keeping this encouragement in mind will also help you become the best volunteer you can be, and give you the opportunity to inspire those around you-- whether a client, fellow volunteer, or Path staff member.
